About .pe Domain Names
The .pe country-code top-level domain name (ccTLD) is an extension that represents Peru. For companies that conduct business in Peru and individuals who want to reach the growing number of Internet users there, these domain names are a good investment. Registering a .pe domain name gives you regional recognition and an easy-to-manage Web presence.
The information below also applies to the following country-code second-level domain names (ccSLDs):
- .com.pe — Intended for commercial entities
- .net.pe — Intended for network infrastructures, such as Internet Service Providers (ISPs)
- .org.pe — Intended for noncommercial entities
- .nom.pe — Intended for general purpose
Anyone can register them on a first-come, first-served basis.
These domain names can have up to 63 characters, with a minimum of one character, and can contain letters (a to z), numbers (0 to 9), and hyphens (except as the first or last characters of the domain name). You cannot register domain names with special characters such as & and #. We support the following Spanish IDN (Internationalized Domain Name) characters: á, é, í, ó, ú and ñ.
RCP NIC.PE is the registry for .pe domain names.
You can register .pe domain names for a minimum of one year and a maximum of five years.
Your .pe domain name renews on its expiration date. Auto-renewal is attempted one day prior to the domain name's expiration date. If the renewal attempt fails, we re-attempt renewal 12 days later and again 19 days after that.
If we cannot auto-renew the domain name and you do not manually renew it by the 25th day after the expiration date, it must be redeemed. There might be a fee for the redemption. Your domain name will be deleted and removed from your account if not renewed by the 29th day following expiration.
NOTE: You can renew your domain for a minimum of one year and a maximum of four years.
